Cultural Center names new executive director

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL - The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is pleased to announce they have hired Dick Williams as Executive Director.
Williams spent thirty years as a broadcast executive, working in the Milwaukee, St. Louis and Nashville markets. Most recently, Williams served as general manager for Cox Radio in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was responsible for all operations of the five local stations, including WAPE 95.1 and WOKV 690.
His previous experience in the non-profit sector includes work with Learn To Read, Inc. Jacksonville, Junior Achievement of NE Florida and The Florida Association of Broadcasters. Currently serving on the St. Johns County Planning and Zoning Agency representing District 4, Ponte Vedra, he and his wife Linda reside in Ponte Vedra Beach and have two grown sons.
Williams comments, “I am thrilled to begin working with the Board and staff of the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. Together, we’ll continue to provide innovative and meaningful programs to bring the arts into the life of our community.”

About the Cultural Center: The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is a 501c3 not for profit organization whose mission is to bring the arts into the life of our communities through arts education, art appreciation and community outreach. The 8,000 square foot Center features an art gallery, dance studio, two multi-purpose arts and crafts room, office space and a music room for one-on-one instruction. In addition to hosting a series of art exhibits featuring local, regional and national artists, the Center also offers a year-round schedule of arts activities and education such as art and music appreciation lectures and workshops, hands-on instruction and classes and a wide array of art camps for children of all ages. The Center also provides critical arts education outreach programs throughout St. Johns and Duval counties to those who often benefit most from, but are least likely to have access to the arts such as at-risk youth, children with disabilities and seniors.
